Like It Or Hate It, Flappy Bird Will Make A Comeback This August

Interview reveals that Flappy Bird creator will develop a “less addictive” version of the game.

In an interview with CNBC, Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen said that he will indeed be giving the highly-addictive game another shot. He also revealed that this time around we should not expect the game to be as addictive and frustrating like in the previous instalment.

The game certainly has found a huge following and fans are in fact waiting for the next instalment of the frustratingly simple mobile game. The game which was abruptly pulled down from app stores will definitely make a comeback as early as June, but developer Dong Nyugen promises that this time around the game will certainly not be as frustrating as the last one.

The game has certainly inspired many more publishers to come up with similar, yet original ideas. Apart from the endless number of copies that prevailed in app stores after the game was pulled down major game developers like Rovio also jumped onto the Flappy Bird bandwagon. They had a soft launch with their own 8-bit lookalike titled 'Retry' but definitely made the gameplay equally difficult if not more frustrating that Flappy Bird.

Like it or hate it, even if Dong Nguyen does sober down on his next instalment, the legacy of Flappy Bird will indeed live on.
