Yota Devices May Shift Next To BlackBerry In Canada
Apart from the advantages that Waterloo will bring for business, Yota may actually be after sacked BlackBerry employees instead.

In the world of technology, nothing ever goes to waste. When the clash between Nokia and Microsoft took place, Apple gained a valuable engineer with PureView expertise. Similarly, Yota is planning to shift to from its home in Russia to Waterloo in Canada, a place that is also home to BlackBerry.
Reports have begun pouring in that Yota CEO, Vlad Martynov is seeking to move his company’s base to Canada which will not only make his business of smartphones boom thanks to the advantages that Waterloo brings for technology start-ups, but also from an employee standpoint.
There is indeed a lot of unemployed tech talent, especially from BlackBerry sitting idle out there; meaning that Yota could absorb some of this talent while its still building its next smartphone -- YotaPhone. Clearly, there is a lot more happening in Canada and the neighbouring USA in terms of tech and hardware compared to Russia.
Hopefully Yota does move and we see the second version of the YotaPhone launching sooner. For those of you who have no clue about the YotaPhone, it basically is a handset with a normal display on one side and an ‘always on’ E-Ink one on the other. It is definitely a new concept and the newest version is said to pack in some new silicon as well when it launches later this year.
